Redmi Unveils the K30 Pro with Pop-Up Front Camera

The next flagship killer to watch out for?

Redmi has unwrapped its flagship phone with the Redmi K30 Pro in China. Unlike with the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro that looked very similar, the Redmi K30 Pro is different from the Redmi K30. On the front, you have a notch-free 6.67-inch display with support for HDR10+ and DCI-P3. While it does not have a high refresh rate like the Redmi K30, the Redmi K30 Pro has a Samsung Super AMOLED display and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Keeping the Redmi K30 Pro’s adaptive brightness accurate is a 360-degree light sensor located within the LED flash at the back.

Instead of a punch-hole, the Redmi K30 Pro retains the pop-up module used on the Redmi K20 series, still housing a 20-megapixel selfie snapper.

For the rear panel, the Redmi K30 Pro has a circular camera module home to cameras that comprise of a 64-megapixel IMX 686 main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The Zoom Edition gets an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS on both the telephoto and main cameras, while the Vanilla model gets a 5-megapixel telephoto macro camera.

As a flagship killer, both Redmi K30 Pro versions have the best possible internals that includes a Snapdragon 865 processor, up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Keeping the lights on is a 4700mAh battery with 33w wired charging.
