vivo X Samsung Kicks Off with Exynos 980-Powered X30

The Pro model adds a periscope camera

vivo’s X series is back with the X30 and X30 Pro. The only difference between the two phones is that the X30 Pro has a 12-megapixel periscope camera with 5x optical zoom (and 135mm focal length equivalent) and up to 60x digital zoom, along with a dedicated mode for shooting the moon.

Otherwise, both the X30 and X30 Pro’s rear cameras come with a 64-megapixel f/1.8 main camera (with a 26.4mm focal length equivalent), a 32-megapixel f/2.0 portrait camera (50mm focal length equivalent) with 2x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (16mm focal length equivalent). For selfies, you have a 32-megapixel f/2.0 camera tucked in a punch-hole.

Speaking of the display, the X30 gets a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED XDR display that boasts of up to 1200nits brightness, a Full HD+ resolution, and a 3mm punch-hole.

Making both phones unique is its processor, as it uses Samsung’s Exynos 980. The mid-range processor comes with two Cortex-A77 cores, six Core-A55 cores, a Mali-G76 MP5 GPU, and an integrated 5G modem. Keeping the lights on is a 4350mAh battery with support for 33w wired charging.

The X30 Pro is priced at CNY 4000(~Php 29k) for the 8GB/128GB model and CNY 4300(Php 31.1k) for the 8GB/256GB model. The X30, on the other hand, is priced at CNY 3300(~Php 23.9k) for the 8GB/128GB model and CNY 3600(~Php 26.1k) for the 8GB/256GB model. The X30 Pro will be available in China on December 24 while the X30 will follow on December 28.
