Redmi Note 8 Undercuts Competition, Price Revealed!

After a successful launch with the Redmi Note 7 last March, Xiaomi Philippines brings the follow up to one of 2019’s best budget mid-range phones with the Redmi Note 8 series. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is the more significant model, as it is the first phone with a 64-megapixel ISOCELL GW1 main camera to be made available to the Philippines. Beyond the camera setup, the Redmi Note 8 Pro rocks MediaTek’s gaming-centric Helio G90T processor—the Taiwanese chipmaker’s new processor is its most powerful to date and aims to go head-to-head against Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G.

The Redmi Note 8, on the other hand, improves on what made the Redmi Note 7 great with two additional rear cameras (ultra-wide-angle and dedicated macro camera), second-generation Samsung 48-megapixel main rear camera, and Snapdragon 665 processor.

The Redmi Note 8 is priced at Php 7,990 for the 3GB/32Gb variant, Php 8,990 for the 4GB/64GB variant, and Php 9,990 for the 4GB/128GB variant. The 4GB/64GB variant will be available starting October 12 at Lazada and Mi Authorized stores.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro is priced at Php 11,490 for the 6GB/64GB variant and Php 12,990 for the 6GB/128GB variant. Both variants will be available starting October 12 at Lazada and Mi Authorized stores.
