Despite the complete phase-out of their flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung is still pushing forward in developing and innovating technology. The recently unveiled ArtPC Pulse desktop computer is proof of that, and can also be seen as Samsung diversification (or comeback, if you want to be technical about it) into new markets.

Before we dive into the spec sheet, let’s get it out of the way – the ArtPC Pulse does resemble the Apple’s 2013 Mac Pro. Now, let’s take a peek under the hood of this cylindrical computer, shall we? There are a couple of variants, so we’ll just list the general specifications.

The base Core i5 version of the Samsung ArtPC Pulse will set you back $1,199 (~Php 59K), while the better variants will definitely cost more. Pre-orders are now available in Amazon, and will be shipped starting October 28.

Honestly, for the price range, you’re better off with a customized desktop PC with handpicked parts. But that’s not the point of this device anyway, like most novelty tech stuff, right? Right.
