Once seen as Samsung’s next big thing, the Galaxy Note 7 has brought nothing but trouble after it was officially launched a few months ago. And now, it’s official – the Galaxy Note 7 is dead.
Samsung has told Engadget that they permanently discontinued production of the Galaxy Note 7.
Samsung initially tried to remedy the problems of the phone by issuing out an unprecedented global recall of the device, which covered an estimated 2.5 million devices around the globe. With confirmed cases of the replacement devices exploding, Samsung had no recourse but to halt production and ask consumers to return their Galaxy Note 7s for replacement or refund.
Samsung Philippines has not officially sent a statement on how to go about that, though we expect them to send word as soon as possible.
