The TECNO Camon 20 Premier Leaks, and it Looks Promising

While TECNO has been making strides with the Phantom X2 series and the Phantom V foldable, the brand is also working on making its Camon series a strong offering in the mid-range segment. The Camon 19 series highlighted TECNO’s ambition in the camera department with a custom 64-megapixel RGBW sensor, and the upcoming Camon 20 Premier aims to step up the game further.

A photo of what appears to be the back panel of the TECNO Camon 20 Premier has surfaced, and the one who posted the alleged photo shared a few details. For starters, this might be the most premium design from the Camon series with a leather-like back and an unusually-shaped camera bump that has three cameras and what appears to be a ring-shaped LED flash.

As the markings mention, the Camon 20 Premier will most likely use the same 64-megapixel RGBW sensor that we saw on the Camon 19 series–or maybe TECNO might use an improved 2nd-generation version instead.

While processing power is not exactly the Camon’s strong suit, the 20 Premier will reportedly use a Dimensity 1200 processor. While it’s a 2-year-old processor, and MediaTek has better options like the Dimensity 7200, the Dimensity 1200 does offer top-notch performance with its prime core clocked at 3Ghz and its Mali-G77 MP9 GPU providing a lot of power.

As a premium offering, the Camon 20 Premier will reportedly have stereo speakers, a 6-inch 120hz OLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner, up to 8GB RAM, up to 512GB storage, and Android 13-based HiOS 13 out of the box.

TECNO should reveal more details about the Camon 20 series soon, so stay tuned.
