Now Global: Motorola Touts 200-megapixels with the Edge 30 Ultra

Now that Xiaomi will make its 12s Ultra available globally, Motorola is set to give it a run for its money as it makes the X30 Pro official globally as the Edge 30 Ultra. Just like its Chinese sibling, the main selling point of the Edge 30 Ultra is the 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP1 sensor that dominates its 3-level camera bump.

The ISOCELL HP1 has a 1/1.22-inch sensor and can shoot either 12.5-megapixel images at 2.56um pixels, 50-megapixel images at 1.28um pixels, or 200-megapixels at 0.64um pixels. On top of that, the Edge 30 Ultra’s main camera has an f/1.95 aperture and OIS. Accompanying the main camera are a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel IMX663 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. Selfies are taken care of by a 60-megapixel OV60a shooter.

Being a premium Motorola device, you get a 6.67-inch pOLED display with a 144hz refresh rate, 1250nits peak brightness, and in-display fingerprint scanner. Powering it is the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor that has up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. Keeping the lights on is a 4610mAh battery with support for 125w wired charging and 50w wireless charging.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra Specs

The Edge 30 Ultra starts at 900 Euros(~Php 51.6k) for the 8GB/128GB variant, making it slightly more affordable than Xiaomi’s 1-inch sensor-sporting 12s Ultra.
