When we got our chance to check out the Xiaomi 12s Ultra a few weeks ago, the brand has still contemplating if it would make its top-end 12 series variant available in global markets. Considering the 11 Ultra was exclusive to China, we had little hope for a global availability for the Xiaomi 12s Ultra.
But things to change, especially when there’s good reception about it. Being one of Xiaomi’s first Leica-branded device that heavily focuses on camera capabilities, CEO and founder Lei Jun confirmed that the Xiaomi 12s Ultra will be making its global debut very soon.

This is great news for the brand, as it will finally give them the opportunity to showcase their close collaboration with Leica to the world. To recap, the crown jewel of the Xiaomi 12s Ultra is its large, 1-inch 50.3-megapixel f/1.9 IMX989 main camera with an 8p lens design, PDAF and OIS. Accompanying that large main camera are two 48-megapixel cameras: one being an ultra-wide-angle camera with PDAF, and the other being a periscope camera with 5x optical zoom, PDAF, and OIS.
While we’re excited for the possible arrival of the Xiaomi 12s Ultra in the Philippines, one should be aware that such a technological marvel comes at a price. Following price conversions, we expect that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra to have a price of around Php 55k if they decide to bring over the 12GB/256GB variant.
