HMD makes is first own-branded phone available in the Philippines with the Pulse+. This entry-level phone has a sleek design, an affordable price point, and easy repairability.
Powering the Pulse+ is a Unisoc T606 processor that’s paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. You get a 6.56-inch 90hz IPS display with a 600 nits of peak brightness, and a 5000mah battery that supports a rather slow 10w charging, so expect to recharge slower between each use. HMD, however, boasts of a better battery quality as it can still perform just as well as 80% battery health after 800 charge cycles.
On the camera side, there’s a dual rear setup that consists of a 50-megapixel main camera and an auxiliary camera, along with an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies. Among the camera features HMD touts with the device are skin tone optimization, a tripod mode, Super Night mode, and FlashShot.
It’s also worth noting that the device only has a single SIM slot and a dedicated microSD card slot for additional storage, and is powered by Android 14 without much customization. Add a 3.5mm audio jack for audio and a side fingerprint scanner for security, too.
The HMD Pulse+ is currently priced at Php 6,899 in the Philippines. However, you can get it for Php 5,999 with a shop voucher until voucher stocks last.
