Huawei Watch Fit 3 Quick Review Philippines: Hip to be Square

Huawei Watch Fit 3 Quick Review verdict: The Huawei Watch Fit 3 is a feature-packed wearable that won’t cost an arm or a leg. It has all of the fitness features you’d ever need if you’re looking to keep fit and healthy on a budget.

Huawei took us all the way to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia today to check out the regional launch of their newest wearable: the Watch Fit 3. We’ve actually been using it for around a week now and we’re pretty impressed we’ve what we’ve seen so far, especially when you factor in how much it is.

Huawei Watch Fit 3 Philippines: Design

The Huawei Watch Fit 3 uses a square body design that sets it apart from their other wearable offerings like the Watch GT4. It’s overall aesthetic puts it on the sportier side of the market, though it’s not going to clash with more conservative clothing choices when you’re at the office.

Huawei offers the Watch Fit 3 with different band choices–four different colored fluoroelastomer straps, one stretchy nylon option, and a leather strap that will come later on. I particularly like the nylon option because my skin reacts badly with synthetic straps, though Huawei says that the fluoroelastomer option is hypoallergenic and won’t elicit such a reaction.

The watch has a rotating crown of navigation, which is color blocked differently from the rest of the body to give the watch a pop of color. There’s a button underneath that that gives you quick access to different workouts.

The main method of navigation though will be done through the Watch Fit 3’s large 1.82-inch AMOLED display. The display on this watch is pretty impressive, considering it can go as high as 1500 nits in brightness, which means it’s very easy to see under direct sunlight. The display is ultra-sharp too, sporting 347ppi. The case is made of aluminum, and weighs just 25g, which makes the Watch Fit 3 one of the lightest wearables there is.

Huawei Watch Fit 3 Philippines: Software, Performance, Battery

Setup and installation for the Watch Fit 3 is pretty simple–you just have to install Huawei Health through their website, enable all the pertinent notifications, and you’re good to go. Huawei Health is platform agnostic, which means it’ll work on both Android and iOS devices.

There are a ton of workout modes available on the Huawei Watch Fit 3–around 102 in fact–that you’re virtually guaranteed to find the exercise or activity that you like on there. Aside from that, the watch has calorie management features built-in, which allows you to track how many calories you take in and if you’re in calorie deficit. It’s a more scientific way of tracking what you’re eating which comes in handy if you’re tracking macros.

The Watch Fit 3 has Huawei’s TrueSeen 5.5 health tech, which measure your heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, and sleep patterns, as well as detect Pulse Wave arrhythmia which can alert you to early signs of heart problems.

Another nifty feature is of the Watch Fit 3 is the NFC feature. You can basically transfer keycard access to the Watch Fit 3, which is useful for those times you want to streamline door access to your office or home.

One of the biggest takeaways that you’ll get with the Watch Fit 3 and Huawei’s wearables is their insane battery life. The Watch Fit 3 is no exception, and while it doesn’t have the two-week battery life of the Watch GT 4, it still has endurance of up to 10 days on a single charge.
