The new selfie lord?
vivo’s V15 Pro is starting to look like a real camera powerhouse. Aside from its hi-resolution 48-megapixel rear camera, a new leaked TV spot reveals that the upcoming smartphone will have a high-resolution selfie shooter as well.
According to the short, 11-second clip, the V15 Pro will have a 32-megapixel camera embedded in the pop-up selfie cam in its body.
While the allure of 32-megapixel selfie photos is great, the front camera of the V15 Pro will very likely be utilizing pixel binning tech that combines the pixels of photos taken with the high-resolution camera to produce a smaller, 8-megapixel photo. It’s the same technique that Huawei uses on its P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro’s 48-megapixel cameras, which means you can expect really, really detailed selfies.
Aside from high-resolution cameras, leaks indicate that the V15 Pro will have an in-display fingerprint sensor, Super AMOLED panel, Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It’ll be officially unveiled on Feb. 20.
