TNT Recognized as Leading Mobile Brand in the Philippines

Smart value brand TNT is recently recognized as the Philippines’ leading mobile brand according to a recent internal study conducted by Smart in partnership with market research firm NielsenIQ.

The study, which polled 1,175 Filipinos from all over the country, aged 18 to 60 years old who use and personally own any mobile SIM, asked respondents about their mobile service providers. The study ran from Jan 5 to April 3, 2023, and took into account both single and multiple SIMs users of mobile brands.

Based on NielsenIQ’s findings, 46% claim to own and currently use a TNT mobile SIM, while 14% of respondents claimed to own and use Smart Prepaid, and 1% use Sun Prepaid.

From the same study, Smart leads among other mobile brands in terms of the number of subscribers with 59% of respondents claiming to use its brands, including TNT, Smart Prepaid, and Sun Prepaid. On a per-region basis, TNT leads among other mobile brands in terms of claimed users in all surveyed areas except in Mindanao.

In the Visayas region, TNT leads with 60% of respondents claiming to own and use a TNT mobile SIM. Luzon has 46% of respondents using a TNT SIM, while the Mega Manila area (Metro Manila Area + Rizal + Palawan) has 39% claimed TNT SIM users. In Mindanao, TM leads with 54% claimed SIM users, while TNT is in second place with 41% claimed SIM users.
