Xiaomi is starting to unveil phones under the Redmi 13 series globally, and it kicks off with the budget Redmi 13C. While people might assume it is a rebranded POCO C65, there are a few differences between the two Xiaomi phones.
While the official listing shows that the Redmi 13C also uses a Helio G85 processor, you are getting more color options like Navy Blue, Clover Green, and Glacier White. The Glacier White colorway has a crystal-like design. Aside from different color options, you also have a 4GB/128GB option on top fo the 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants.
Like the POCO C65, the Redmi 13C also has a 50-megapixel main camera and a 6.74-inch HD+ IPS display with a 90hz refresh rate and a notch for a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. You also get a 5000mAh battery inside that supports 18w charging–not the fastest for a budget phone, but we’d take this over 10w charging.
The 4GB/128GB variant is priced at $141 or around Php 8k when converted, making it the most affordable budget phone to use a Helio G99 processor. Do note that this is global pricing, so the official price of the Redmi 13C might be lower when it arrives in the Philippines.
