Toyota Motor Philippines has officially launched the 2022 Toyota Avanza compact MPV in the Philippines for a lucrative price. It releases with the marketing tagline “Fit For Every Fam,” which is in line with its branding as a fun, small people-mover.
The first thing you’ll notice about the new 2022 Toyota Avanza is the sharp design. There seem to be angular themes here, which we also noticed when we reviewed the Raize. The grille takes up quite a lot of space on the car’s front fascia, giving it an intimidating look.
On the rear is an identical theme, giving the Avanza a little bit more road presence than ever before.
Much like the previous-gen Avanza, this all-new version can seat 7. Children will have no issues fitting in the third row making for comfortable road trips. The interior is a nicer place to be with a push-button start system, 4.2-inch TFT multi-information display (for the base variant), 8-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (for the upper variants), cleanly-designed air conditioning controls, and an overall tidy setup.
It comes with 2 engine options: the 1.3L 98 PS power mill found in the 5-speed MT and E CVT variants while the range-topping G CVT carries the 1.5L 106 PS engine. Safety for all passengers shouldn’t be an issue since even the base models are equipped with rear sensors while upper trims get blind-spot monitoring and rear camera traffic alert. Vehicle stability control and 6 SRS airbags (G variant) are also present.
2022 Toyota Avanza Price Philippines
The Toyota Avanza price in the Philippines starts off at Php 813,000 for the base 1.3 J MT, which is available in colors Silver Metallic 4, Black Metallic 1, and White.
The following 3 variants in ascending order are the 1.3 E MT (Php 928,000), 1.3 E CVT (Php 984,000), and 1.5 G CVT (Php 1,039,000). These three share the silver and black colors but add Dark Red Mica Metallic and Greenish Gun Metal Mica Metallic to the fray.
