Apple has finally launched the third generation iPhone SE (2022). It has an A15 Bionic chipset together with some impressive features but it doesn’t cost a fortune.

Apple has always been a premium brand. As such, all its products are costly except for the iPhone SE. This model is built with one thing in mind—affordability.

The latest-gen iPhone SE may look very identical to the good old iPhone 6 from 2014. However, the processor is very up-to-date.

It comes with Apple’s A15 chipset, the same chipset that can be found on the iPhone 13 series. What’s so special about this chipset? Well, it is hailed as the fastest smartphone chipset of today. 

As for the screen, it measures 4.7” in diagonal. Apple says it has the “toughest glass on a smartphone”, thanks to Ceramic Shield for the extra durability. There’s also a touch ID fingerprint reader underneath.

Now for the camera, it still has a single 12MP unit and it doesn’t come with sensor-shift image stabilization found in iPhone 13 models. Fortunately, it comes with  Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, and Deep Fusion.

The new iPhone SE starts at $429 (~Php 22K) for the 64GB model. It will go on pre-order this Friday, March 11. There are three colors available: midnight, starlight, and red.
