Filipino brand Cherry has again made headlines with their recently released Aqua S10 Pro 5G, which is a follow-up to the Aqua S9 Max. With this phone, Cherry aims to maintain a strong presence in the budget phone segment.
This phone comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 700, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This combination offers good performance. On top of that, it comes with 5G connectivity and liquid cooling technology. The liquid cooling allows for longer sustained periods of performance from the GPU/processor combo before thermal throttling kicks in.

Infinix Note 12

Like what we said about the Note 11S, the use of a Helio G96 is one of the best processor options for the under Php 10k segment. We really prefer the Helio G96 over popular choices like the Snapdragon 680 because of its more powerful GPU, which is one of the things responsible for smooth gaming. This makes the Helio G96 more suitable for gaming than Qualcomm’s budget mid-range processor.
The Infinix Note 12 is priced at Php 8,999 for the 128GB variant and Php 9,999 for the 256GB variant and will be available at Infinix stores nationwide and via Shopee and Lazada.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11
Xiaomi has disrupted the budget phone market yet again with this model. Aside from its vibrant AMOLED panel and high-resolution snapper, it offers a decent processor.
Inside the Redmi Note 11 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor with two RAM and storage variants: 4GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB. This processor is an upgrade from the Redmi Note 10’s Snapdragon 678. It’s built on a smaller 6nm node versus the latter’s now-archaic 11nm process, hence it offers more efficient performance.
The Redmi Note 11 is priced at Php 8,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant and Php 9,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant and will be available at authorized Xiaomi stores and the brand’s official Lazada and Shopee stores.
POCO M4 Pro 5G
The M4 Pro 5G comes with several upgrades that make it a very compelling budget 5G device in the Philippines, not just for gaming. It has refined all the good things about the M3 Pro 5G.
The POCO M4 Pro 5G is powered by a Dimensity 810 processor, and comes in two variants: 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. Despite its name, the Dimensity 810 is not a successor to the Dimensity 800U. Instead, it succeeds the entry-level Dimensity 700 which present in the older POCO M3 Pro 5G. Synthetic benchmarks show that the Dimensity 810 is a big improvement over the Dimensity 700, and the POCO M4 Pro 5G is the most affordable phone to use this processor.
The POCO M4 Pro 5G is priced at Php 7,990 for the 4GB/64GB variant and Php 9,990 for the 6GB/128GB variant in the Philippines and is available exclusively on Shopee.
