Honor is finally launching a brand new line of smartphones that comes with Google Services after its independence from mother brand Huawei. The new Honor 50 Pro, Honor 50, and Honor 50 SE are the first phones to come out of the firm’s design labs sans Huawei, and they’ll be offered in international markets like the Philippines with Google Services, including access to Google Play.

The Pro variant comes packing a curved 6.72-inch AMOLED screen with an FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, along with a dual-selfie front camera composed of a 32-megapixel main shooter and a 12-megapixel ultrawide. The vanilla variant meanwhile comes with a slightly smaller 6.57-inch screen that has the same features as its Pro brethren, though will only come packing a single 32-megapixel sensor.
Both phones share the same main cameras – namely a 108-megapixel main shooter with a 1/1.52-inch sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and two 2-megapixel modules for depth and macro shooting.
Both phones will also share the same innards, namely Qualcomm’s newly released 778G chipset that packs a Kryo 670 CPU paired with an Adreno 642L GPU, along with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM.
Topping off the spec list is a 4000mAh battery for the Pro model and a slightly bigger 4,300mAh battery for the vanilla variant, with 100W and 66W fast charging respectively.
The Honor 50 SE is the most affordable variant of the three phones and has a 6.78-inch LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 16-megapixel front shooter. The phone has a similar setup as its more expensive brothers, though it loses the depth sensor.
The biggest change here is that it packs a different chipset inside of it, namely MediaTek’s Dimensity 900 chipset, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The phone has a 4000mAh battery and 66W fast charging.
All three phones will have Honor’s new Magic UI 4.2 based on Android 11, and more importantly, access to the Google Mobile Services when it goes on sale on the global market.
Honor 50 Pro, Honor 50, and Honor 50 SE price Philippines
The Pro variant of the phone starts at RMB 3,699 (Php 27.8K), while the vanilla version starts at RMB 2,699 (Php 20.3K). The SE variant meanwhile, is priced at RMB 2,399 (Php 18K). The three phones will launch in China first, though Honor said they’ll also be available in 40 countries worldwide though did not give any definite time for their global release.
