After quite a lot of hype around the HONOR Magic Vs foldable, we were finally able to get it in our hands during MWC 2023. How does it look and feel in the flesh (or steel?)

The first thing you’ll notice when getting it in your hand is how hefty it is. The HONOR Magic Vs has a significant weight that makes it feel as premium as its 1599 Euro price tag dictates. This is by no means a toy.

Also, the textured back panel is nice to the touch. There’s some semblance of grip versus glass backs and the camera module doesn’t intrude on how you hold the device. Speaking of the module, it shelters a 54-megapixel IMX800 main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with autofocus, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS.

We also don’t mind the cheeky “Designed for Magic” text underneath the lenses.

We weren’t able to thoroughly test the camera quality of the HONOR Magic Vs on the showroom floor. However, given the bright lights and ideal conditions present, the device’s optical performance was impressive.

Both the 6.45-inch external display and 7.9-inch internal display are both flagship-grade in terms of color and brightness. We can imagine that content consumption on these panels will be a treat.
