Huawei Is Releasing Their Own Credit Card

Complimenting Huawei Pay

Chinese giant Huawei is set to release its own physical credit card to complement its Huawei Pay payment service in China.

The card will be backed by UnionPay, and use their backend to process payments. It will have NFC capability for more secure, contactless payments.

For early adopters of Huawei’s new card, there will be no first-year annual fee, and the company will also be waiving the second-year fee for people who spend a set amount through Huawei Pay. Perks of using the card include lounge access at train stations and airports for now but will include other premium inclusions as the service matures.

There’s no solid release date for the new card yet, and it’s more than likely that the service will be rolled out in China for now.
