Ever get the feeling that driving in Manila is literally the worst? You’re not alone, as traffic navigation app Waze has pretty much confirmed what you’ve always known all along: Manila is the worst city to drive in.
According to Waze’s Driver Satisfaction Index which measures user experience in several countries across six key factors, Manila is the worst city to drive in the entire planet, at least, according to Waze users. With dismal scores across key metrics like Traffic, Road Safety, Driver Services, Road Quality, Socio-economic and Wazeyness, Manila gets a misrable 3.02 rating. Second place is Dominican Republic with third going to El Salvador. Indonesia, the only other Asian nation in the bottom 5 comes in at fourth, with Russia coming in at fifth.
On the other end of the spectrum, driving in the Netherlands is heaven on earth, followed by France, United States, The Czech Republic and Belgium.
Waze said the survey focused on countries and metropolitan areas with more than 40,000+ monthly active users to allow for accurate data and fair market comparisons.
