Microsoft Windows 11 Is Officially Released In The Philippines

Microsoft Windows 11 is now officially released in the Philippines as well as the rest of the world. It will continue to roll out until next year as a free update for eligible devices including PCs, laptops and tablets.

Microsoft Windows 11 is Officially Out

According to Microsoft, the free Windows upgrade will first become available to newer computers and devices, followed by those currently running on Windows 10.  Microsoft expects all eligible devices will have access to the free Windows 11 upgrade by mid-2022, including devices in the Philippines.

Microsoft will use on-device data and other factors to determine whether your PC is qualified for the free Operating System upgrade. Among others, it will be “based on intelligence models that consider hardware eligibility, reliability metrics, age of the device, and other factors.” Microsoft has been using this method for quite some time now.

Those who have a Windows 10 PC will be notified when the update is available.  People can also go to “Settings > System > Windows Update” on their computers to manually check if the upgrade is ready.

ASUS has already announced that a number of its laptops will be receiving the update to the latest version of Windows starting today for free. Aside from ASUS, other brands are expected to roll out Windows 11 to their computers as well, as long as they meet the minimum requirements.
