With 2022 already in full swing, it hasn’t taken much time for the rumors to circulate regarding the upcoming Apple iPhone 14 Pro models. This comes despite the fact that the release date will likely still be months away in Q3 of this year. However, users have commented that the notch design of the current-generation iPhones is starting to show its age, making a debut with the iPhone X almost 5 years ago. Well, Apple fans rejoice: the iPhone 14 Pro models might make the notch a thing of the past.
Possibly replacing the notch is a pill-shaped punch hole camera and a standard circular one. The former will be containing all necessary hardware to facilitate Face ID usage and the standard selfie shooter, while the latter will be a Face ID dot scanner, according to display analyst Ross Young.
As of now, there is no confirming evidence yet to support the removal of the iPhone 14 Pro model’s notch. We are also yet to receive updates if the standard iPhone 14 will receive the same treatment and if there will even be an iPhone 14 Mini. Only time will tell. We’ll keep you posted on rumors and additional information fresh off the press.
