After releasing the Red Magic 7 last week, nubia is back to release the Z40 Pro in China. The new smartphone boasts features that are first on Android devices.

At the front, the nubia Z40 Pro flaunts its 6.67” AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. Underneath the beautiful display is a beast of a processor—Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The processor is mated to either 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM, while the storage is either 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB.

As mentioned, the phone has features that are first on Android devices. One of which is in the main camera: you get a 1/1.3-inch 64MP main shooter with an f/1.6 aperture, 7P lens, and OIS. There is also a 50MP ultrawide camera and an 8 MP periscope telephoto shooter with 5x optical zoom. Meanwhile, the selfie camera has a 16MP sensor.

Another first on Android devices is the magnetic charging found in the limited “Gravity Edition” model. The limited-edition model features a slightly smaller 4,600 mAh battery and supports 66W fast-charging through wired charging. Meanwhile, the regular model has a 5,000 mAh cell with an 80W wired charging capacity and no wireless charging support.

The nubia Z40 Pro will be available for pre-order in China starting March 2. It will retail at the following price tags.
