CES 2022 has seen some impressive showcases so far from a vast array of tech companies. Adding its own spice into the mix was Lenovo, announcing the 7th-generation of its Yoga 2-in-1 laptops as well as 3 consumer monitors. We’ll focus on the flagship convertible Lenovo Yoga 9i, the frontrunner of a series celebrating its 10th anniversary.

The 2-in-1 laptop comes with a 14-inch display which can be specced to as high as a 4K OLED touchscreen. This display is no joke, carrying with it VESA DisplayHDR 500 TrueBlack certification for that 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy. The cinematic experience is further elevated by the 16:10 ratio and Dolby Vision HDR technology. To give you a complete audiovisual treat, the Lenovo Yoga 9i also comes with quad Bowers and Wilkins speakers consisting of two woofers and two tweeters, all capable of Dolby Atmos Audio. The company claims this will give the sound more depth and clarity.

The design is made modern by ultra-slim bezels for the most part, until you reach the bottom where you’ll be reassured that the laptop will last with a durable hinge design. The touchpad size has been increased by 45% as compared to the previous generation, allowing for enhanced ergonomics. Cleanly embedded in its unibody aluminum design are Intel Thunderbolt ports to be used for a variety of purposes.

Powering the flagship laptop are the 12th generation Core i7 processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics. This has been built to Intel Evo specifications, which can be seen in the diagram above.

Unique shortcut buttons can also be found on the keyboard, triggering a bevy of features. The more unique ones are called Background Blur, which automatically smidges out what’s behind you during a video call, Color mode, something to change lighting settings to limit eye strain, and Vibe Check to automatically optimize the built-in speakers to deliver audio to the best of hardware’s ability. For additional productivity, the laptop will also come with a Precision Pen 2 in the box.

The Lenovo Yoga 9i will be available in colors Storm Grey and Warm Oatmeal Hue.

Along with the Yoga 9i will come its siblings, the Lenovo Yoga 7i and 6.

The 7i can be bought with either a 14 or 16-inch display. It houses similar specifications to its flagship brother, although the resolution of the screen is lower at a still-impressive 2.8K resolution.

Finally, the AMD Ryzen 7-powered Yoga 6 is the most compact device in this lineup with a screen size of just 13 inches. Lenovo boasts that this is the device of choice for those conscious about their environmental footprint, as the build is mainly composed of recycled aluminum or fabric woven out of recycled fabrics, depending on the color you select. The packaging follows suit with this trend.
