2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Will Launch on August 28

The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is Mitsubishi’s best-selling car in the Philippines. Despite being around for quite some time now, the Japanese automaker was still able to sell 8,638 units of the Mirage G4 last year. Fortunately, the refreshed model is coming to the Philippines this month. In fact,  Mitsubishi Philippines has already confirmed the virtual launch of the 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4.

After its regional debut in Thailand, the updated subcompact sedan will be launched in the Philippines on August 28. For now, Mitsubishi released a few images and videos for fans to see.

Based on the video, the refreshed Mirage G4 is now sporting the brand’s Dynamic Shield design language. It has a sporty front bumper, headlights, and grille. As for the rear end, it has new LED taillights, rear bumper, and reflectors. To top it all off, there’s also a new set of alloy wheels that come with the refreshed model.

Unlike the obvious changes on the car’s exterior, the interior of the refreshed Mirage G4 has only undergone minor changes. It still features the same three-pod gauge cluster, three-spoke steering wheel, door panels, and circular aircon vents. The only things that are new are the touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, automatic climate control, and media controls on the steering wheel.

As for the car’s powertrain, Mitsubishi Philippines still hasn’t released any details. However, based on the recently launched Mirage G4 in Thailand, the sedan still features the same 1.2-liter three-cylinder MIVEC engine. Said engine has a power output of 78 PS with 1-00 Nm of torque. It can be paired to a five-speed manual gearbox or a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Based on Fuel Eco Run supervised by the Automobile Association of the Philippines, this engine can do an astounding 23.1km/L. One of the biggest reasons why it is consistently a part of the local top 10 list of best-selling cars.

More details about the 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 will be revealed during its virtual launch. Again, the sedan will be launched on August 28 in the Philippines. You can watch the live stream on the official Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Facebook and YouTube pages.
