The Refreshed 2022 Mini Countryman Is Launched In The Philippines

The AutoHub Group, in collaboration with Mini Asia, celebrated the launch of the refreshed Mini Countryman for 2022 at yesterday’s Philippines media press event. The vehicle receives significant upgrades all throughout, a welcome addition to its already expansive feature list.

Under the hood, Mini’s four-banger gets the forced induction treatment via its TwinPower technology. This pushes the two-liter engine to a maximum output of 192 HP and 280 Nm of torque, propelling the Countryman to 100 km/h in an advertised time of 7.5 seconds and a rated top speed of 226 km/h. This is all done with practicality in mind as Mini claims the Countryman will only consume 6.7 liters of fuel every 100 km, an engineering marvel we’d be happy to have at the current state of gas prices.

The exterior receives some love as well. Besides standard features such as LED headlights and taillights styled to resemble the Union Jack, some aspects have been reworked to achieve a new look. This includes the radiator grille, body finishes, alloy wheels, and added exterior color selections.

Its roomy five-seater interior has been further refined to give driver and passengers alike an improved experience. Mini has upped their game on the technological end, providing the car with a fully-digital display that provides the driver with all the information necessary for any type of driving. If parking is a concern, then the equipped Park Distance Control and assists are ready to help at any given moment.

At the center is the Connected Navigation Plus, an 8.8-inch display unit that serves as the main hub for all things entertainment inside the cabin. All 4 passengers should be able to view it from their fully-fledged seating options.

If you don’t need the seats but have cargo to haul, the rear seats can be folded down to make room.

For discerning owners who want their Minis to be reflections of their unique personality, then Mini offers retrofitted accessories such as a roof box, compartment mats, LED door projectors, and others.
