The Screen On The ZenBook Flip S Is Perfect For Artists. Here’s Why:

Picking a laptop to use for serious photography or video editing work isn’t as cut and dry as say, picking one to use for just normal office productivity tasks for schooling. Creatives have a different set of requirements for their needs, with the priority being a relatively bright, color-accurate display.

And while you can, in theory, edit on any laptop that has a display, if you want to get the most accurate representation of what you’re working on in terms of color accuracy, then you’ll want a laptop that has a display as close to the sRGB and Adobe color gamut as you can. A more accurate display means you’ll be working on correcting (or enhancing) the colors of your photos, and not fixing the problems of your display.

There are a few laptops in the market that has displays geared specifically to creatives, but there are few that are as color-accurate and as versatile as the ZenBook Flip S. The magic is in the screen: this particular laptop has a 13.3-inch 4K OLED panel that’s incredibly bright and color accurate.

How color-accurate is the display? Well, we took our DataColor Spyder 5 Elite to it and found that the panel had 100% sRGB, 96% AdobeRGB, and 90% NTSC color coverage. That kind of color accuracy makes the laptop a great choice for anyone looking for a laptop that has a screen good enough for photo editing.

One of the added benefits of having an OLED display is the fact that they’re typically very bright, and have incredible black levels as well as contrast. Our measurements confirm that, as the ZenBook Flip S had a maximum recorded brightness of 409 nits, and contrast levels of 408970:1.

While the display is one of the best things about the ZenBook Flip S, it’s not the only thing the laptop has going for it. It’s a 2-in-1, which essentially allows it to transform into a tablet as well, which gives it another layer of usefulness if you’re creative.

Then there’s Intel’s new 11th generation chips, which gives what would otherwise be a traditional thin-and-light design an extra boost when it comes to performance and battery life, giving the ZenBook Flip S real muscle when it comes to heavy computational tasks.

We’ve gone over some of the great features and have given our initial impressions on the ZenBook Flip S here. You should definitely check it out.
