The VivoWatch BP Is A Comprehensive Health Tracker

It’ll be able to keep an eye on your BP and other health metrics

While fitness trackers are a dime a dozen nowadays, a true health tracker – one that keeps tabs on your health, not just your fitness metrics – are hard to come by. ASUS says that their new VivoWatch BP, introduced today at COMPUTEX is the world’s first true health tracker that keeps an eye not just on the steps you take, but your vitals like blood pressure.

The new smartwatch isn’t powered by Android Wear, instead it runs ASUS’ own UI. Aside from the normal sensors that you see on any old smartwatch, the VivoWatch BP also has an ECG sensor in it, as well as PPG (photoplethysmogram) that helps you to accurately track your blood pressure. In fact, the VivoWatch BP is 70% smaller and 50% lighter than similar wrist-worn blood pressure monitors today.

ASUS has infused the watch with their health AI technology which gives wearers personalized advice for improving their blood pressure. And despite providing accurate fitness and health tracking information, the VivoWatch BP has a long, 28-day battery life.

No price has been set for the VivoWatch BP locally.
