Xiaomi Outs The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ With 200-megapixel Snapper

Xiaomi is starting off the year by revealing several members of its new smartphone lineup: the Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. The new phones share a nearly identical specs sheet with only a few changes in cameras, storage, and finish that differentiate the three.

All the phones in the new Redmi Note 12 lineup will come with a 6.67-inch OLED display with a full HD resolution panel and 120Hz refresh rate. The vanilla Note 12 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Note 12 will only come with a single 48-megapixel camera (no ultra-wide here sorry!) and a token 2-megapixel depth camera. The phone has a 5000mAh battery and a max charging speed of 33W.

The Note 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ are the phones you want if you’re looking for max performance and camera chops, as they both come armed with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The Note 12 Pro has a 50-megapixel main camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor and OIS, with the other two cameras being an 8-megapixel ultrawide and 2-megapixel depth camera. The Note 12 Pro+ on the other hand has a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HPX sensor, the first phone from the Note series phone to have such a large sensor. The other two cameras are the same as the regular Pro version. While both phones also have a 5000mAh cell inside of them, the Note 12 Pro’s charging speed tops out at 67W, while the Pro+ goes up all the way to 120W.
