Unbox covered a product launch event and we were absolutely stunned at how rude some people can be. One of our teammates was taking photos of the product and due to bad lighting we needed to move it a bit. We were suddenly surprised to find an angry foreigner (from the company who invited us) saying in a accusing tone that the phone should “stay here”. He then called one of their promodizers and said loudly “watch him”.

We find it insulting, unnecessary, and totally uncalled for. We will still write about the event and even review the products without bias but your company is now officially blacklisted from coverages from our site.

What’s the point of writing this post? To send a message to foreign product managers or executives not to treat local bloggers or media shabbily. It takes effort to make articles and even more energy to cover events. If you think that we go “ga-ga” over raffles and giveaways please think again. We don’t need it. You can keep your freebies. We would really prefer to have your respect.

‘Till then, this video is for you.

Note from the Editor: We’ve disabled the comments section for this post due to the extremely high level of vitriol being exchanged, hehe. We also deleted several very emotional posts pro and against the issue.
