Beyond Gaming: New Laptops from MSI Target Creatives And Professionals

When you talk about MSI, gaming is the first thing that comes to mind. While they are well-versed in gaming components and eSports in general, one should remember MSI’s origins as a computer company that has a vast line of offerings catering to everyone. That being said, MSI does have laptops catering to creators and professionals.

Creator 15M

For creatives, MSI has its Creator 15m and 17m. Available in 15-inch and 17-inch models, you get a professional look with its sandblasted Space Gray aluminum body. That is accompanied by a brushed aluminum lid white keyboard backlighting and 5mm thin bezels. The Creator 17m gets a 1.9mm stroke for the keys, dedicated numpad, and a drop-down hinge design. The display is an important feature for all creators, and the Creator series does not disappoint with a 100% sRGB and 72% NTSC color accuracy.

Both the Creator 15m and 17m are meant for power users, as it is equipped with the latest 10th-gen H-series Intel processors that deliver at least a 15% improvement in performance compared to the previous generation. On the GPU side, the Creator 15 can be configured with NVIDIA’s RTX GPUs to meet the demands of creators in crafting high-quality content. For thermals, MSI’s Cooler Boost boasts of 2 fans, and 6 heat pipes (5 heat pipes and 3 fans on the Creator 15m) to keep temps stable even at heavy loads.

Creator 17M

Being geared towards creators, both the Creator 15m and 17m have Creator Center, which is a suite that lets you personalize the Creator 15 according to your work needs. The keyboard is also tailored to meet the needs of creators with friendly function keys to boot.

Summit E15

For professionals, MSI has its Summit line of business notebooks. The Summit keeps things professional with its sandblasted Ink Black aluminum body, and is light and thin at 1.3kg and 15mm. Security is the top priority of the Summit E15, and you get key features like hardware-based TPM security, IR camera and fingerprint scanner, and a USB/SD card lock function.

Powering the Summit is the latest 11th-gen Core i7 processor and Iris Xe integrated graphics. If you need additional GPU oomph, the Summit E15 and E14 can be configured with a GeForce GTX discrete GPU. Connectivity is not an issue, as the Summit comes with two USB 4.0/Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, HDMI port, MicroSD card reader, headphone jack, and two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports. You can multi-task with up to three monitors–one of them using MSI’s Duet Display feature that lets you use your tablet as a secondary screen.

If you want something that’s more trendy, MSI has their Prestige series. Available in a variety of colors including Rose Pink, the Prestige is powered by the latest 11th-gen Intel processors with Iris Xe integrated graphics. You can opt for one with a GTX1650 discrete GPU for that extra oomph for video editing.

The Prestige is a speedy notebook as it utilizes PCIe Gen 4 SSDs, Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, and a UHI-III MicroSD card reader that is capable of up to 624mb/s transfer rates. It also has a great display, with up to 4K resolution and 100% Adobe sRGB color accuracy.
