Weekly Recap (August 28) The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Recalled

It’s the start of a new week and here are some of the top stories you may have missed from the week of August 28.

Last week we saw Samsung issue a global recall for their flagship phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, due to “battery cell issues” as there have 35 reported cases of the devices overheating or exploding. An internal investigation found that 24 units out of a million Note 7 devices were fire hazards prompting the Korean brand to initiate the recall for the safety of their customers.

IFA 2016 also kicked off last week with one of the biggest stories coming in the way of an equally large gaming laptop by Acer, the Predator X21. The Acer Predator X21 has a 21.5-inch curved display, a fully mechanical keyboard, and dual GTX 1080M GPUs in SLI; plus other goodies to keep you as you fight your way to the  top of the food chain in the gaming world.
