With MSI unveiling its line of gaming laptops powered by the latest RTX 50 series GPUs, the one that stands out of the crowd is the Titan 18 HX, which has a Dragon Edition Norse Myth theme all throughout starting with a full graphic on the lid.
With a starting price of $5000(~Php 292k), the Titan 18 HX has all the bells and whistles you can ask for in the ultimate gaming laptop for 2025. You get a huge 18-inxch Mini LED display with a 4K resolution and 6-speaker system, Cherry mechanical keyboard switches with per-key RGB illumination, and a 99.9wHr battery with a ridiculous 400w power adapter.
This behemoth runs a Core Ultra 9 285HX processor that’s paired with an RTX 5090 laptop GPU with 24GB GDDR7 RAM and can be configured with up to 96GB DDR5 RAM. For storage, you get a total of four slots: three being PCIe 4.0, and one being a next-generation PCIe 5.0 storage. The latter has a dedicated heat pipe cooler to maximize transfer speeds, so thermals should not be an issue.
With a back-breaking weight of 7.94 pounds, the Titan 18 HX has all the ports you need: two Thunderbolt 5 USB-C ports, three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, HDMI 2.1, gigabit ethernet, and a full-size SD card slot. Aside from that, those buying the Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition get a bunch of goodies like a large mouse pad, a gaming mouse, a 3D dragon keychain, and a special box.
The MSI Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition will be available in March, and it remains to be seen if it will be made available in the Philippines–and if there are buyers with loads of cash that will actually purchase it.
