OnePlus Promises 4 Years of OS Updates for Newer Models

Current OnePlus number-series devices dating back to the OnePlus 8 get three OS version updates and four years of security patches. Older number series phones like the OnePlus 7 and more recent Nord series devices get two OS updates and three years of security updates while OnePlus N-series phones get a single OS update and three years of security patches.

OnePlus pivoted its OS strategy one month before the OnePlus 10 came out, claiming it would back away from the unified Oppo skin.
