Displaying your content upfront is a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED LTPO display which is par for the flagship course in 2022. As we speculated before, the processor onboard is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, which we can expect to come in almost every high-end phone of the year.
More interesting is the text on the rear – Oppo has enlisted the help of legendary optics company Hasselblad for the camera tuning. This isn’t the first time they’ve assisted a smartphone manufacturer as the OnePlus 9 Pro is tuned by them as well, but this is definitely a noteworthy addition.
Reinforcing the media capture capabilities of the Oppo Find X5 Pro is the Marisilicon X Imaging processor, an in-house development for better photos and videos. The camera hardware is rumored to be a triple camera setup built around the Sony IMX766 primary shooter with OIS.
As for the other devices in the lineup, we’ve yet to receive more details on the vanilla X5 and the X5 Lite. However, we can expect the former to just be a smaller version of the Pro, while the Lite may slightly compromise on camera hardware or processing power to stick to budget constraints. We’d like to see the Lite with a current-generation Snapdragon 888 as it will no longer be the king of the hill in 2022 but it will still be more than powerful enough for whatever needs to be done.
