The Xiaomi 12 Lite Has Been Leaked

We recently heard about the Xiaomi 12S lineup due to their announcement and imminent unveiling, but here’s another scoop: the Xiaomi 12 Lite has been leaked. It is the semi-flagship little sibling of the series with a little bit held back to keep costs within reason. We’ll list down some rumored specifications along with the leaked renders to get you on board.

These images come courtesy of reputable tech leakster Evan Blass’ Twitter account, otherwise known as Evleaks. Current images show the smartphone in 3 colors that may find their way to your area: black, pink, and a bright teal. As seen in these photos, the device still has the hole punch in the center similar to the Xiaomi 12 Pro. It appears though that they’ve ditched the curved edges for a flat display, which some users appreciate more. The Power button and volume rockers adorn the device’s right side. At the bottom, meanwhile is a speaker, USB-C port, and a SIM slot while the top shelters an additional speaker and microphone.

On the rear of the Xiaomi 12 Lite is a rear triple-camera arrangement. Based on the text, the main sensor has a resolution of 108 megapixels. We’re not entirely sure if the new Leica partnership will cover this device as it is set for a strange release date.

As of now, rumored specifications do mention a 6.55-inch FHD+ display and 120Hz refresh rate, along with a midrange Snapdragon 778G processor. Considering the chipset involved, we’re more inclined to believe the refresh rate to be at 90Hz instead to not put too much strain on the also-rumored 4,500 mAh battery. It is also likely that the Xiaomi 12 Lite will have a base specification of at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with a higher variant offering more of either or both.

We’ll provide updates on this as soon as we get them.
