Despite its compact size, Xiaomi managed to put a reasonably large 4500mAh single-cell battery inside the 12, along with an adequately-sized cooling pad to keep up with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1’s thermals. The battery supports 67w wired charging, 50w wireless charging, and 10w reverse wireless charging.

Going to the cameras, the 12 has a triple rear camera setup that comprises a 50-megapixel IMX 766 main camera with OIS, 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5-megapixel telemacro camera with a 50mm (2x zoom) focal length equivalent.

The 12 Pro, on the other hand, bumps up the display size to 6.73-inches, along with a Quad HD+ resolution, 120hz adaptive refresh rate, and 12-bit color. You get four speakers on the 12 Pro, making it one of the few phones to have such a feature. The battery is only a smidge bigger at 4600mAh (and is a dual-cell variety), but you get 120w wired charging and the same wireless and reverse wireless charging as the vanilla model. Xiaomi equipped the 12 Pro with its Surge P1 chip for power management.

The 12 Pro’s claim to fame is its three 50-megapixel cameras on the back. The main camera is a 1/1.28-inch IMX 707 sensor, while the ultra-wide-angle camera has a 14mm focal length. The third 50-megapixel camera is for portrait shots. The 12 Pro also gets Xiaomi’s CyberFocus tech, which is their own approach to autofocus, along with a revamped night mode feature.

The Xiaomi 12 is priced at CNY 3699(~Php 29.4k) for the 8GB/128GB model, CNY 3999(~Php 31.8k) for the 8GB/256GB model, and CNY 4399(~Php 35k) for the 12GB/256GB model.
