There’s quite a lot of stuff that’s been released at Computex 2023, but one thing caught my eye almost immediately: the Acer Predator Orion X. It’s a tiny gaming PC that undoubtedly has one of the most appealing designs to date. Despite its size, it definitely isn’t minimalistic – but that’s a small indicator of the sheer power you can equip this with. Here’s what we mean.
The PC case itself is split into multiple zones, each one allocating space for a component inside the tower. After all, given its minuscule size, you need to be efficient when fitting it all within this 15.4-liter tiny space. But of course, there’s still Acer Predator branding everywhere on this Orion X. The lights haven’t been forgotten as well – viewable through the glass screen in front.
You’ll see what we mean here with the PC deconstructed. The GPU is somehow fitted into the Zone 02 on the left, while most of the cooling and power supply components are either in Zones 03 and 01. Up in front are also the two Predator-branded RAM sticks for this unit.
So what specs can you configure this Acer Predator Orion X with?
On the CPU side of things, the entry-level is the Intel Core i5 13400F while it tops out with the Core i9 13900K series. Graphics cards options are simpler with only three NVIDIA RTX 40-series choices: the 4070, 4080, and range-topping 4090. We believe you’ll be quite futureproofed with each one of these. Thermals are handled by both liquid cooling and a multitude of fans to keep temps within reasonable levels.
Meanwhile, you can also configure the PC with up to 64GB of DDR5 RA and a 2TB M.2 SSD.
All things considered, the Acer Predator Orion X might just look like a tiny gaming PC but it’s a fire-breathing dragon. The company has done an excellent job in designing such an aggressive look and fitting top-shelf components into a compact shell.
