Under Php 40k Flagship Killers in the Philippines (2024)
- POCO F6 Pro
- HONOR 200 Pro
- realme GT 6
- Xiaomi 14T Pro
- Samsung Galaxy S24 FE
POCO F6 Pro – Php 26,999 (12GB/256GB)
While it is the “oldest: flagship killer in this list, the F6 Pro is a solid performer with its use of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It stands out of the crowd with its 120hz AMOLED display with a WQHD+ resolution–something you’d rarely find on a phone that has a starting price of under Php 30k.
The POCO F6 Pro’s other flagship-worthy features include a Light Fusion 800 sensor for the main camera, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage for the top-end configuration, and 120w charging. It’s also premium as well with its use of an aluminum frame and a glass back.
Honor 200 Pro – Php 29,999 (12GB/512GB)
HONOR finally brings a Pro version of its numbered series to the Philippines, and it is an impressive one with its use of a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor that’s paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage for the one sold in the Philippines. You also get HONOR’s 5200mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 100w wired and 66w wireless charging.
For the cameras, the HONOR 200 Pro borrows the main camera used on the highly-regarded Magic6 Pro, and that is paired with a 50-megapixel telephoto shooter with 2.5x optical zoom and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with autofocus. Its display does not disappoint either, as its 120hz curved AMOLED panel has a 1.5k resolution.
realme GT 6 – Php 34,999 (12GB/256GB)
It took a while before realme had an official flagship killer in the Philippines, and the GT 6 fills that category. It uses a capable Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, and the model sold in the Philippines comes with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB internal storage. Its curved AMOLED display is a leader in peak brightness at 6000nits and boasts a 120hz refresh rate and a 1.5k resolution.
Going to the cameras, the GT 6 uses an LYT808 sensor for the main camera–a sensor you’d find on flagship phones, and that is paired with an equally capable 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. It has the biggest battery in this list at 5500mAh, and you also get fast 120w charging with it.
Xiaomi 14T Pro – Php 37,999 (12GB/256GB)
Fresh from its launch a few days ago, the Xiaomi 14T Pro uses a Dimensity 9300+ processor that can give the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 a run for its money. Like the POCO F6 Pro, you can get the 14T Pro with as much as 1TB of storage, and you’re also getting a premium build with its aluminum frame and glass back.
Moving to the cameras, the 14T Pro uses the same Light Fusion 900 sensor found on the Xiaomi 14’s main camera, and that is accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2.6x optical zoom. You may only get a 5000mAh battery, but you do get both 120w wired and 50w wireless charging.
Galaxy S24 FE – Php 39,990 (8GB/128GB)
Samsung’s Galaxy S series phones are usually expensive, and that’s why they have the FE series. The Galaxy S24 FE has a starting price well under Php 40k, and it has almost all of the things you’d expect on your usual Galaxy S24: 120hz AMOLED display, the same camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel main shooter, and a premium aluminum frame and glass back with an IP68 rating.
While it may be on the pricey side–seriously Samsung, why still sell a 128GB flagship killer in 2024–the main draw of the Galaxy S24 FE is its software support: 7 years of security updates and 7 major Android updates, which is the best software update commitment you can ask on a flagship killer.
That rounds up some of the solid flagship killers you can buy in the Philippines in 2024. Which one do you plan to buy?
