CD-R King is one of the most iconic tech stores here in the Philippines. Almost all of us have memories of buying weird stuff that we did not expect to buy from such a store. Gun Controllers

Here’s some retro gaming nostalgia for you. This Android mobile FPS controller simulates enemy shooting and only requires three AA batteries and a Bluetooth connection to work. It does not support all FPS games on Android though–but it is nonetheless a very novel item that CD-R King sold during its heyday. This gadget was priced at Php 1,099.

3D Printer

CD-R King has introduced a 3D printer in the Philippines, albeit at a not-so-budget-friendly price of Php100,000. It looks like it can get the job done, though there are likely more affordable alternatives available. As far as we remember, this is the most expensive product that CD-R King has ever sold.

Solar Panels

The rising electricity costs in the country necessitate a reduction in power consumption, which can be achieved by using solar-powered products. However, these solutions are expensive, and CD-R King had affordable ones in store. The 100W Solar panel came with a Php 2,990 price tag, which was relatively affordable if your goal is for lights and a few accessories. Our CD-R King post on Facebook has our community mentioning this often–with some still usable up to this day.

Gasoline Generator

Outside of solar panels, CD-R King did sell gasoline generators under their Stark sub-brand. Their 2HP gasoline-powered generator can provide up to 800W of power output and can be used for an average of 3.5 hours on a full tank of gas. This bad boy costs Php 3,580, though we can’t verify if these generators were actually reliable given CD-R King’s infamous reputation for quality control.

Crank USB Charger

If you’re too lazy to bring a power bank and want a quick workout, this mechanical charging device comes with a Php99 price tag. Doing a few cranks can charge your phone in case of emergencies. We doubt if crank power is enough to charge smartphones–the idea looks novel on paper, but realistically, this is only good for feature phones.

BONUS: Vending machines!

CD-R King might be the pioneer in selling gadgets through vending machines, and we didn’t expect this one. We only found out about it with a few old posts from our close friends–and those vending machines sold cheap gadgets like mice, MicroSD cards, batteries, and flash drives.
