ASUS brings over its 2024 line of ROG laptops to the Philippines, starting with the Intel 14th-gen powered Strix Scar and Strix G series. Headlining ASUS ROG’s 1st quarter releases is the 2024 Strix Scar 18, which is the first 18-inch ROG laptop to use a mini-LED display that boasts over 2000 dimming zones and a peak brightness of 1100nits.
Making the mini-LED panel of the ROG Strix Scar 18 unique is that it has a 2.5k resolution, a 240hz refresh rate, and a 3ms response time that makes it a very capable display for gamers. It’s also color accurate with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and support for Dolby Vision.
Being ROG’s top-end gaming laptops, the 2024 Strix Scar series can be configured with up to a Core i9-14900HX processor and up to an RTX 4090 GPU with 175w TGP (up to a RTX 4080 for the Strix Scar 16), along with as much as 32GB DDR5 RAM and 2TB PCIe 4.0 storage.
The 2024 ROG Strix Scar 16 is priced at Php 214,995 and comes with a Core i9-14900HX processor, 32GB RAM, 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and an RTX 4080 GPU. The 2024 ROG Strix Scar 18, on the other hand, is priced at Php 299,995. Both models come bundled with a copy of Office Home and Student 2021, ROG backpack, ROG Gladius 3 mouse, and a USB-PD charger.
The 2024 ROG Strix G series starts at Php 99,995 for the G16 model that has a Core i7-13650HX processor, 16GB RAM, 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and an RTX 4050 GPU. There’s also a Strix G18 model that’s priced at Php 159,995, which gets you a Core i9-14900HX processor, 16GB RAM, 1TB PCIe 4.0 storage, and an RTX 4070 GPU.
