Aside from Acer, ASUS is also embracing the Snapdragon life with the 2024 VivoBook S 15 as its first offering. the use of an ARM-based chip should improve some key VivoBook features–especially those that make use of AI.
Like the Intel-powered models, the 2024 VivoBook S15 will have the same 15.6-inch OLED display with a 120hz refresh rate and 2880×1620 resolution, though ASIS managed to give the display thinner bezels. Configuration options for the 2024 VivoBook S 15 include either a 12-core Snapdragon X Elite or 10-core X Plus. Both variants can be configured with up to 32GB RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 storage.
Port selection for the 2024 VivoBook S15 includes two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a headphone jack, and a MicroSD card reader. You also get WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. You also get ASUS’ StoryCube app, which makes use of AI to sort, edit, manage, and export RAW photos and video files.
The 2024 VivoBook S 15 with a Snapdragon X Elite is priced at $1399(~Php 82k) for the 32GB/1TB configuration, while the 16GB/1TB configuration is priced at $1299(~Php 76k). Both variants will be available in the US on June 18, while the Snapdragon X Plus variants will arrive later this year.
