Aside from the 2024 line of Yoga laptops, Lenovo also revealed its 2024 line of Legion gaming computers at Innovate ’24. The biggest new feature is Lenovo’s Coldfront: Hyper thermal solution, which is exclusive to Intel versions of the Legion 7i and Legion 5i.
This new thermal solution has redesigned airflow within the chassis, with a central hyperbaric chamber channeling hot air from the CPU and GPU. Complemented by dual fans, Coldfront: Hyper aims to deliver better cooling to the internals, leading to better gaming performance.
Aside from the Legion 7i and 5i, Lenovo’s LOQ gaming laptops also have a new hyperchamber thermal technology that allows drawing up to 25w additional TDP in Extreme mode while keeping skin temperatures at up to 2 degrees lower and lowering fan noise by up to 2db compared to the previous generation of LOQ laptops.
Like the 2024 line of Yoga laptops, the 2024 line of Legion and LOQ laptops are powered by AI and come with Lenovo’s LA AI Core Chips for optimal performance based on the user’s habits.
