5 Things We Love About the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G

With the Reno10 5G series making its official arrival in the Philippines, OPPO has stepped up all three models to offer users an elevated camera performance by offering a serious triple camera setup that includes a telephoto camera to make the series stand out as a “Portrait Expert”. The Reno10 5G series will mark a rare moment when the Pro+ variant will be offered in the Philippines for the first time. We got to try it out, and we love how it performed as a camera-centric budget flagship.

Here are the reasons why we love the Reno10 Pro+ 5G:

Flagship-grade 50-megapixel IMX890 main camera

Being the top-end model, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G is focused on great photography with its use of a 50-megapixel IMX890 sensor for the main camera. The IMX890 is an upgrade over the well-regarded IMX766 that we have seen on a number of mid-range and flagship phones, improving further on dynamic range.

We took the Reno10 Pro+ 5G to Bali, Indonesia, and we’re impressed at the performance of its main camera in all shooting conditions. The dynamic range of the main camera is excellent, and it does shine in challenging lighting conditions.

Class-leading 64-megapixel periscope camera with OIS

Instead of going for an underwhelming 2-megapixel camera, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G goes all-in with its 64-megapixel telephoto camera that has 3x optical zoom and OIS.

With a focal length that’s close to the classic 85mm, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G’s telephoto camera lets you take stunning closeups and portraits that have very good background separation. OPPO is one of the pioneers of telephoto cameras with the Reno 10X Zoom, and they once again showcased their expertise with the Reno10 Pro+ 5G.

If that’s not enough, OPPO stepped up their game with the Reno10 Pro+ 5G by designing the slimmest periscope camera one can find in any smartphone today. That means you can enjoy a longer focal length without the phone being too thick in the camera area.

Versatile triple rear camera setup

Combining the main and telephoto cameras with an 8-megapixel 112-degree ultra-wide camera, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G is a flagship through and through with its versatile camera setup that’s free from any filler cameras.

Regardless of what camera you prefer to use, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G is assured to deliver you quality photos and videos. Aside from the hardware, OPPO also optimized the software side of things on the Reno10 Pro+ 5G as well.

Post-processing smarts

Aside from great camera hardware, the secret sauce to the Reno10 Pro+’s excellent camera performance is how it processes both photos and videos. With all the algorithms OPPO has tweaked for the Reno10 Pro+, taking DSLR and professional mirrorless-like images is possible. Aside from detailed and dramatic photos, the Reno10 Pro+’s post-processing smarts allow you to make other tweaks like aperture, bokeh, and artistic flare.

Powerful internals

Being a flagship-caliber phone, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G has top-end internals that consist of a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM (which can be expanded with up to an additional 12GB through RAM expansion), and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage–components enough to keep up with the most demanding tasks.

It doesn’t end there: the Reno10 Pro+ 5G has a 4700mAh battery that has support for 100W SUPERVOOC charging and features OPPO’s Battery Engine health management to ensure that your battery will last long. The Reno10 Pro+ 5G has the fastest charging speeds on a Reno phone, and OPPO’s Battery Engine health management is a class leader in preserving battery life while letting users enjoy fast charging speeds.

The Reno10 Pro+ 5G is priced at Php 39,999 and will be available in official OPPO online stores Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, and as well as authorized dealers nationwide. Those who will pre-order from August 3 to 10 will get the Enco Buds2 with their purchase.
