For its consumer laptop line, Acer announced a new Swift model with the X 16 that’s geared towards creators and designers. Its 16-inch OLED display has a 16:10 aspect ratio, 120hz refresh rate, and a 3.2k resolution, making it a sharp display. It’s also color accurate, boasting 100% DCI-P3 coverage. The display also supports DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 for those deep blacks that creators desire.
This 17.9mm thin laptop is also powerful, as you can configure it with up to a Ryzen 9 7940H processor and up to an RTX 4050 laptop GPU, along with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 storage. It’s also great for video calls, as you have a Full HD camera that uses Acer’s Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR) and its suite of AI technologies for clear and crisp videos.
The chassis is built upon a premium aluminum body that has a long front recess for easy access and hinges and air vents neatly concealed throughout the laptop. It weighs just 1.9kg, and the Swift X 16’s trackpad is 33% bigger than its predecessor–and is one of the biggest among Acer’s laptops. You also get a good port selection that includes a MicroSD card slot, two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, and a full-size HDMI 2.1 port.
The Acer Swift X 16 starts at $1249(~Php 69.9k) in the US.
