A gaming phone to end all gaming phones?
Aside from the gaming-centric Predator 8 tablet, Acer also unveiled a 6-inch smartphone dubbed the Predator 6. The new phone is set to be powered by MediaTek’s deca-core processor, along with 4GB of RAM and dual-haptic feedback motors for vibration (kinda like the ones in PS4 controllers). The phone uses the same 4-speaker setup that’s present in the Predator 8, along with a 21-megapixel rear camera and a full HD display.
While Acer did not reveal what processor is running the show in the Predator 6, it’s liketly to be the Helio X20, packing two ARM Cortex-A72 cores, with 4 mid and 4 low power Cortex-A53 cores. The SoC also packs a high-end Mali T880 GPU which should make short work of whatever games you throw at its way. No price or launch date has been officialy set as of yet.
