tAMD expands its AI processors to the commercial space with the Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series, which are optimized for Copilot+ enterprise PCs. These new chips make use of AMD’s Zen 5 architecture and are made using a 4nm process. These new chips boast up to 3x better AI performance compared to the previous-generation Ryzen PRO processors.

AMD claims that the top-end Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 375 offers up to 40% better performance compared to Intel’s Core Ultra 7 165U. The Ryzen AI PRO 300 series also make use of an XDNA 2-powered integrated NPU that’s capable of more than 50+ TOPS of AI processing power, which exceeds Microsoft’s Copilot+ AI PC requirements.
Aside from the Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 375, the lineup also includes the Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370 and Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360. The Ryzen AI 9 PRO chips come with a Radeon 890M integrated GPU, while the Ryzen AI 7 PRO uses a Radeon 880M integrated GPU.
As part of the Ryzen PRO series, you get a suite of security and management features that include a dedicated Secure Processor, Shadow Stack, Platform Secure, and additional AI-based malware detection. The latter leverages on the integrated NPU to run AI-based security workloads without compromising day-to-day performance.
Commercial laptops from HP, Lenovo—specifically the EliteBook X and ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 respectively—are expected to debut the Ryzen AI PRO 300 series in the coming months.
