Android One arrives in the PH

Like they promised Google has officially launched their Android One initiative in the Philippines. The search giant has officially partnered with two local brands to deliver their vision of pure Android bliss: Cherry Mobile and MyPhone via the Cherry Mobile One and the MyPhone Uno.

Google is promising at least two years of updates for the phones in the initiative, and will be partnering initially with all telcos, so that’s Smart, Sun and Globe.

That’s a great news, at least makaka survive ung local brands na yan ngayung napasok n ng asus, xiaomi at meizu ang Ph market.

Correction. You said MyPhone One, but the backdrop clearly says MyPhone Uno. Anyway, I’m so excited about these devices! 🙂

I’m really interested on how this will affect both companies’ line-up. Please indicate in your review kung gumagana normal earphones from Samsung, Apple, etc. The last time I used a CM phone, my M6 didn’t work.

I was expecting Starmobile to join the Android One bandwagon and be like the other countries that have Android One, such as India, having 3 brands sell the smartphones. (ex. Micromax, Karbonn, Spice.) Though, I am happy to see Android One here in the Philippines. I might even get the Cherry Mobile One! (I just need to see the review first.)
