There’s a price to being first

While the iPhone X is being rolled out in other markets ahead of the Philippines, Apple die-hards always have the option of paying a little more to be the first to get the new iPhone from grey and parallel importers to get the phone first. But increased demand on an already expensive smartphone is expected to drive up pricing of the phone to ridiculous levels.

Be prepared to have your wallets ravaged if you want the opportunity and the bragging rights to get the iPhone X first from the grey market. At least two online retailers have quoted a price of anywhere from Php 80K to 100K once the phone lands in the Philippines.

Insane markups have always been a tradition with any new iPhone that arrives in the Philippines ahead of their official release, but the pricing is pretty insane with the iPhone X. Because of higher than expected demand and very few smartphones to go around, the iPhone X is slated to become one of the most expensive smartphones to ever hit the country.
