Meet ASUS’ first wearable
ASUS has announced their first wearable, dubbed the ZenWatch, at IFA a few hours ago. The ZenWatch runs Android wear and is pretty classy looking, which is definitely a departure from all those geeky looking smartwatches we’ve been seing in the past. The ZenWatch sports respectable specs compared to its competitors, utilizing a 1.63-inch 320 x 320 AMOLED touchscreen as its display, as well as a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC, as well as 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and a 1.4Wh battery that gives you around a day of battery life.
The ZenWatch is also imbued with an IP55 rating, so it doesn’t fear water that much. It’s also been blessed by ASUS with a couple of new features, including Watch Unlock, allowing you to unlock your phone or tablet by simply tapping on the face of the ZenWatch, Cover to Mute, Find My Phone, Remote Camera and Presentation Control functions.
The ZenWatch is projected to retail for around €199, which amounts to around Php 11402, which is a bit steep, but considering what you’re getting, that may well be money well spent.
